Broadway Idiot will be released digitally in the US and Canada on October 18th, and it’ll be available in theater and on demand.
This documentary shows Billie’s journey from punk rock to Broadway, showing also a lot of behind the scenes of the musical production by Michael Mayer.
The documentary was directed by Doug Hamilton. Earlier this year it was premiered at South by Southwest and also opened the Newport Beach Film Fest.
The musical won two 2010 Tony Awards: Best Scenic Design of a Musical for Christine Jones, and Best Lighting Design of a Musical for Kevin Adams. It also received a nomination for Best Musical.
